Why Existing Load Boards Don't Work for Enterprise Shippers

Most freight load boards are built for one person: the truck driver looking for a load to fill his empty truck.

The interface is designed around the driver's question: 'I am in Nashik, what loads are going to Mumbai?' The driver posts his vehicle, waits for shipper calls, and negotiates over the phone.

How Intugine Discover's Return-Leg Probability Scoring Works

Intugine Discover monitors 7M+ trucks and 25L+ active real-time vehicles using FASTag and GPS data. For every active vehicle in the network, Discover continuously calculates a return-leg probability score based on three signals:

Signal 1 — FASTag crossing direction: FASTag data shows exactly which toll plazas a truck crossed and when. If a truck from Mumbai crossed the Nashik toll inbound 3 hours ago, it is almost certainly in or near Nashik now.

Signal 2 — GPS dwell analysis: If the truck's GPS shows it has been stationary at a known industrial unloading point (warehouse, factory gate, container depot) for 2+ hours, delivery is likely complete and the driver is looking for a return load.

Signal 3 — 90-day lane history: Discover's historical pattern analysis checks whether this specific truck has run this lane before and where it typically heads after delivery. A truck that has returned Mumbai-to-Nashik-to-Mumbai 15 times in the last 90 days has a very high probability of doing the same again today.

Combining all three signals, Discover scores the truck's return-leg probability. Trucks scoring 85%+ are presented to shippers as high-confidence booking candidates.


The End-to-End Booking Workflow

Once Discover identifies return-leg candidates, Cruise AI and Vedika execute the booking:

Step 1 — Ranking: Discover ranks candidates by return-leg probability score, lane familiarity, VAHAN compliance status, and performance scorecard (from prior trips on the network).

Step 2 — Simultaneous outreach: Vedika calls the top 5-10 candidates simultaneously in their regional language — not sequentially. Every candidate is engaged at the same moment.

Step 3 — Rate negotiation: Vedika opens with the Ved benchmark rate for the lane, typically 15-25% below standard spot. Because the truck owner prefers any revenue over a dead run, acceptance rates at benchmark are high.

Step 4 — Verification: Upon acceptance, Discover runs live VAHAN fitness, FASTag status, and GSTIN compliance checks. The booking is only confirmed if the vehicle passes.

Step 5 — ERP sync: Booking details, verified vehicle number, driver name, and agreed rate are pushed to the shipper's ERP. Total time: under 15 minutes.


Practical Example: Mumbai to Nashik

A FMCG company's logistics head needs an urgent 20T truck from their Mumbai factory to their Nashik distribution centre. The requirement comes in at 11am.

Not every lane has abundant return-leg supply at every time of day. Broker markup is eliminated either way. Backhaul saves more when available; benchmark-rate direct sourcing is the floor.
