Why Static Transporter Scorecards Fail

Most logistics teams track transporter performance with some version of a monthly Excel scorecard. Dispatchers manually pull delivery data, calculate on-time rates, and rank transporters at the end of the month.

This approach has three structural problems:

1. It's backward-looking. By the time a scorecard shows a transporter is underperforming, dozens of shipments have already been affected. The data arrives too late to change routing decisions.
